Reward for Panther, Eagle info

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is asking anyone with information about a dead Florida panther found Feb. 23, 2011 in the Golden Gate Estates area of Naples, Fla. to call the FWC’s Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-FWCC (3922). Information leading to an arrest and/or conviction could result in a $5,000 reward. Officials believe the animal was killed intentionally.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission also wants to find whoever shot and wounded an American bald eagle near Lehigh Acres in early March. Two conservation groups are offering a total of $3,500 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about this incident should call the Wildlife Alert hotline at 888-404-3922 or report it online at MyFWC.com/WildlifeAlert. Those reporting violations may remain anonymous.
