Hurricane season math

Hurricane season runs six months from June 1 through November 30 with a distinct peak August 15 through September 30. Predictions were for 14 to 20 named storms this year. So far we have had three. If we hit the 14 to 20 mark this year, that means we will have three to five hurricanes per month the rest of the season.
