It’s better in the Bahamas

The Bahamas

Once in the Gulf Loop current, the oil will hit Havana Harbor, pile up against Cuba’s north coast, then continue on eastward over the Keys and into the Gulf Stream. The Cay Sal Bank will be first to feel the effects. The Bahamians are at Cay Sal now taking samples as a baseline, assisted by a handful of French and US experts.

Soon enough the western side of Andros Island and the Bimini  Chain will be lubed up too. Then Freeport will get hit.

So what’s the Bahamaian Oil Spill contingency plan? There isn’t one… but they’re working on it.
