“The smoking gun”

So, what happens when a marine research vessel bristling with modern sensing technology, smart scientists and a functioning wet lab starts poking around the Deepwater Horizon spill site? “The smoking gun” is their phrase, not mine.

So now the oil spill is possibly five times larger than we believed, Louisiana is building fake islands to hold back the goo, and Dauphin Island has erected a four mile long wall. If the new math is the right math, the Deepwater Horizon surpassed the Exxon Valdez around May 1 and doubled the Exxon Valdez this week.
