Oil Spill Prediction Map May 1

Oil Spill Prediction Map includes May 1

Louisiana’s Coastal Commercial Fisheries Value in $$$
Dockside Value: $264,960,224
Retail Sales: $1,761,885,471
Total Economic Impact: $2,349,160,628
Jobs supported: 26,345
State & Local Taxes: $166,923,916
The above is commercial fishing only, does not include the value, spiritual or economic, of the recreational fishery. You could easily double the dollars and add 7,000 guide/marina/bait & tackle jobs for recreational fishing.
So, BP Oil is going to pay back the US Government for the clean-up cost. Are they going to pay for the ruined vacations, the dead fish and birds, the stench. And when I have to pay double for oysters or shrimp, will BP cover the difference? Can you say “Exxon Valdez”???
