Where have all the pythons gone?

With this cold weather, they are probably hibernating, or in a coma. Snakes are cold-blooded so their metabolic activity slows when the outside temperature drops. Here in Miami we have had really cold weather for a week now. It’s so cold, the iguanas are falling out of the trees. Will this cold snap take a toll on the pythons? Certainly.

Down in the Keys, two pythons were caught this past week. FWC officers there claim the snakes are likely to be more visible as they seek warmth on roads and sidewalks.
