Iguanas fall from trees. Manatees huddle near power plant outfalls. And 96 turtles, stunned by the cold, were rescued from the Mosquito Lagoon the past two days. Overall, The FWC, working with the Sea Turtle Stranding and Salvage Network, recovered more than 250 cold-stunned sea turtles in Mosquito Lagoon in Brevard County this past week. Most are juvenile green turtles. Sea turtle rehabilitation facilities throughout the state will house these animals until they can be released when temperatures warm.

UPDATE: 300 as of Friday
