Panhandle man shoots momma bear

There comes a time in every man’s life when he grows up and stops maliciously stomping bugs. For most of us it happens at nine or ten years of age, for some it’s later. Problems occur when this change doesn’t come and you are old enough to legally own a gun. Example: David Jay shot a black bear in his yard. Now two orphan cubs are wandering the Panhandle woods. I hope they get a chance to grow up.

  1. Sad that the sow was killed. I wonder why wildlife officials didn’t trap them and relocat.

I really had to almost gasp at the ignorance of one of the statements made about the sow was completely harmless. Right until she decides that someone is a threat to her two cubs.

I hope the cubs do make it. I also hope Mr. Jay’s children get a chance to grow up too.
