Man in a grey suit

Divers call sharks “men in grey suits.” Those grey suits may have something to teach us. According to this story, the physical characteristics of shark skin makes it difficult for microorganisms to adhere. And if they can’t adhere, they can’t infect. So sharks it seems wear their antibiotics on the outside… With this new knowledge, product designers are mimicking sharkskin to make antibiotic surfaces for hospitals and medical devices in an effort to reduce infection. Another reason why we should not just go hunt every living thing into extinction. Don’t know what we could learn next week from Mother Nature.
