Without a trace

It’s been a year since Richard Alicea and Edwin Pritchard left Haulover Marina and headed for Bimini, 50 miles east of Miami. On a calm summer day, Miami to Bimini is a milk run. But the weather on the day these two set out was anything but calm. Just making it out the cut would have been a wet, cold, bone-jarring ordeal.

In the week after their disappearance, interesting photos surfaced and the Coast Guard put up a massive search. Since then, the story faded from the news, the family held a vigil and put up a Facebook page. But that’s it. There hasn’t been a trace of the men or their boat found.
